Life in early 1940s was dominated by the war and living conditions reflected this. The British Government was worried that the civilian population would suffer a huge casualty from enemy bombing attacks.

Garbage German Declares WAR!

The major causes of World War ll were many. They included the impact of Treaty of Versailles following by World War l.

The worldwide economic depression, the rise of militarism in Germany and Japan and the failure of the League of Nations. When Hitler became the 'Chancellor of Germany', he began to invade a lot of countries. The horrific battle started just a period after the Great Depression when Hitler got the power to control Germany.

On the 1st day of September, war came like a wind of autumn. Our great leader Neville Chamberlin had no other choice than beginning war as Hitler invaded Poland. Germany had no more money to feed and take care of their country. This all happened after World War 1 when the Germans got defeated by the Great Britain so the Germans had a lot of money to pay back in the Treaty of Versailles.

Our BRILLIANT Britain were not surprised to hear the Germans declaring war as they were watching Hitler's advance across Europe for several years and were preparing for the worst. We all need to remember that we are at WAR now with the weak Germans and don't worry! It is definitely sure that the gods are on our side so we will get the victory again!

The British prime minister Neville Chamberlin quoted when announcing war, " I am speaking to you from the cabinet room at 10 Downing Street. This morning the British ambassador in Berlin handed the German government a final note stating that unless we heard from them by 11 o' clock that they were prepared at once to withdraw their troops from Poland, a state of war would exist between us. I have to tell you now that no such undertaking has been received, and that consequently this country is at war with Germany."

Our British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlin said, "I regret letting Germany control other countries. It feels like it is all my fault for the war beginning. I think I was appeasing the Germans a lot" When asked the question about how he feels for his country.

Our brave Britain has been clever to prepare for the war. Not for one day, not for one week, not for one month but several years! It is definitely sure that we will get the victory again like we did during the World War 1. So keep calm and prepare!

Treaty the Tragedy

The Germans had many citizens suffering and this period was called the 'Great Depression' which caused a lot of Germans to suffer from hungriness.

Many people had to get out of work and some people suffered with surviving. Japan became more militaristic and they already occupied Korea in the 1910's and invaded Manchuria in the 1931's. This suffering caused the British make and France to make the Treaty of Versailles to bring back peace.

The 'Great Depression' which happened a period before WW2 made poor Germany citizens suffer to death and this happened because Germany lost in WW1 and they had a lot of money to pay back. Also because Germany was starving to death, they decided to have a new leader to save their home and the new leader was Hitler. When Hitler got the power, he controlled Austria. Also because Japan was a part of the axis, they controlled countries such as Korea, Taiwan and the southern half of the far east soviet island.

Japan became more militaristic in the 1900's. They occupied Korea in the 1910's and invaded Manchuria in the 1931's. And because the treaty war was very harish to them, Germany was forced to accept the responsibility of the war damages and this was why Germany lost a lot of money and because of this Japan was a helpful country to the Germans.

When the German prime minister Hitler was asked a question asking how he feels right now, he answered," It feels great! And I can't give up on my country as I promised them to make Germany great again. And I want to quote to the Britain, I am coming for you. Remember I am coming."

The Great Depression began because the German lost in WW1 and many people had to suffer. Some of them even had to be kicked out of work. The Great Depression also caused our Great Britian to be blamed by the Germans. Our brilliant Britian made the Treaty of Versailles to bring world peace.

Rise of Militarism

In the 1930's, Hitler's expectation became clear as our greatest leader, Neville Chamberlin, allowed Hitler to invade some countries as they thought that they could avoid war by appeasing the Garbage Germans.

This all happened as Germany entered the Rhineland.

One leader of the Western powers, British prime minister Neville Chamberlain believed he could make peace with Adolf Hitler by appeasing him. Thus, allowed Nazi to take over a little bit of Czechoslovakia and gave a promise that future territorial disputes would be resolved through non-violent means. But, few months later, Hitler broke the promise.

One of the British appeasement was that they allowed Hitler annex Austria for two years after entering the Rhineland. And this was why the Germans rose militarism again. Appeasing means to allow others to do what they want to control their behaviour. Now, our greatest prime minister Neville Chamberlin seemed to agree with declaring war as the garbage Germans were also trying to occupy the Sudetenland as our Great Britain was appeasing the Germans all the time with letting them control cities that they wanted to. It was a terrible happening causing the terrific war.

When asked the question about agreeing on the war beginning, our great prime minister Neville Chamberlin commented," Well. I didn't have any other choice. The Germans occupied so many countries already but it seemed like they were trying to occupy the Sudetenland. We thought that this could not continue anymore"

The British thought that everything was going to get back in its place when they allow Hitler to occupy some land. But then, when they saw the situation, they thought they were giving out too much countries and had to start war. This was also very popular because of Nevile Chamberlin, the British citizens rearming during the appeasement when we couldn't afford to rearm especially for the French people.

League of Nations

Our peaceful country, the Britain, tried to make the Germans join our amazing League of Nations to avoid the terrific war beginning.

In the 1930's. Hitler kept on refusing the idea although that was the only chance to avoid war.

The British created the Treaty of Versailles which was very harsh and many Germans disagreed with the Treaty of Versailles. But they still joined it for peace. To join the League of Nations, there needed an acceptation but the German- Americans didn't. This was the only chance to avoid war and our death but, the Germans didn't even know what was going on.

The League of Nations was an organisation designed to create world peace and Britain and France were leaders of it. However they actually did nothing when Hitler was annexing other countries to avoid war. Some of the countries that joined the League of Nations were... Australia, France, Switzerland and China.

The British and the French said, "We guess first of all, because we are enemies we fought against each other during WW1 so we guess they don't agree on our idea. And secondly, Germany hates us because we won the war and the Germans had to pay back a lot because of this." When asked the question, why do you think the Germans disagreed on joining the League of nations?

Britain and France were leaders of the League of Nations. But, they did nothing as leaders when Hitler was invading so many lands. And because of the leaders, the war had to begin. Our League of Nations failed to stop Italy from invading Abyssinia.
